The symbols in my equation objects are in wingding font, why?

Equations in both imported Word documents as well as new documents have
symbols in wingding format. If equations are converted, many of the symbols
are fixed, but some turn to rectangles. Another case is if a wingding symbol
is double-clicked, the proper symbol is highlighted to insert. How can I fix
this problem to have these characters converted automatically and correctly?

With Equation Editor open, click on the Style menu, then click Define. These
styles must be set to Symbol font: LCGreek, UCGreek, and Symbol. If you set
these styles to [almost] any other font, your equations will not display
correctly. All the other styles in the dialog would normally be set to
whatever font you're using in the document.

Thanks,
That seems to have helped in some cases, but my betas are still double
quotes. I've changed every style to symbolPS, but it won't sort it out.

Actually I meant just Symbol -- not SymbolPS. If that doesn't work it could
be that you have a corrupted version of Symbol. If you want me to send me a
new one, e-mail me privately with your e-mail address.

I guess I meant "If you want me to send YOU a new one...". Wouldn't do you
any good if I sent it to myself, now would it? ;-)
