I have a protected document with many form fields I use as a template (albeit
..doc as opposed to .dot). I fully enter the 5 pages of information.
Sometimes, I have to unprotect the document to make formatting changes or
other additions/omissions.
Usually, I re-protect the form before closing; however, on a few occasions,
I failed to re-protect the form.
Now, on two of my documents, when I open them, all the text is visible for
about 1.5 seconds, then it all disappears.
I sent this document to our help desk, and they opened it without a problem.
We compared every possible setting, and they were all the same. When she
sent it back, it did the same thing, except the next time she sent it back, I
asked her to protect the form first. That worked.
What could make my computer display the text for only 1.5 seconds before it
all disappears?
