the 'To' field in outlook does not display the email address

When I select an address from my address book, Outlook displays the friendly
name in the 'To' field, eg. [Jane Doe (e-mail)]. I need the display to
resemble [Jane Doe ([email protected])]. Is there a setting in Outlook 2000
that I can use to correct this?

Open the Contact record for Jane Doe and change the Display As field to
appear as you want.

I do not see this setting in Outlook 2000. This setting is available in
Outlook 2002 and after.

Open the Contact record and double-click the E-mail address. In the
"Display Name" field, put what you want.
