the tool tips

I am using the cotnrol tool tip to provide definition of several controls so
the user will be able to hover over the control (actually the label of the
checkbox) and see it. It worked at first but now the hovering over no longer
works and it is puzzling. The mdb is made into a mde file and each machine
has their own front end.

Does anyone have any ideas (or come across this same problem) as to why the
hovering over the control label no longer works?

Hi JohnE,
I can verify that sometimes this has happened to me in Access.
If I remember correctly, rebooting the computer fixes it.
Sometimes it also happens when I hover over the time on the Windows
taskbar - the date won't appear. Win XP SP3.
