The troublesome update: KB924085

Hi All,

This update (kb924085) causes ALL the crashes in Outlook when Microsoft CRM
plugin is installed and is now included in Office 2003 SP3..

I refuse to install this service pack down to this one lousy update that
hasn't yet been fixed.

Does anyone know of a way around this? The CRM plugin is the latest release.

Thanks,
Martin

KB924085 also causes problems with Tasks. After installing the update for
KB924085, I instantly lost the ability to respond to Tasks from other users.

I uninstalled the update (actually two updates), and I got the ability back.
But since it's a critical update, it just installed itself again the next day
and my Tasks quit working again. (I checked WU after installing, and it
wasn't listed.) After uninstalling it again, it was then listed in WU and I
hid it. But the "Updates are ready to install" came up until I told it also
to not remind me.

Further, I understand this "update" is also part of SP3, and this reportedly
causes the same problem.

This needs to be fixed quickly. I do not like needing to skip all Outlook
updates simply because one breaks a major feature of the program. (Kind of
like I have to skip Excel 2007 because it can't multiply.)

(BTW: I posted this as a new topic a few minutes ago, because a search for
"924085" comes up empty...)
