Hi C.H.,
Are you looking for Speech to Text (dictation) or Text to Speech (read back)
Text to speech is still an Excel feature but is not on the Ribbon in Excel 2007. You can add it to the Quick Access Toolbar in
Excel by using
Office Button[File]=>Excel Options=>Customization
In the customization dialog select the category for
'Commands not on the ribbon'
and 'Add' to the Quick Access Toolbar the Five text commands
'Speak Cells'
'Stop Speaking Cells'
'Speak Cells by Column,
'Speak Cells by Row'
'Speak Cells on Enter'
Select a range of cells in your spreadsheet and it click on 'Speak Cells'.

Seems like I no longer have handwriting recognition , text to speech or
speech recognition when I updated Office XP with 2007, but I have spent the whole day looking to add text to speech to my language
bar like the good ol day with no success so what are the possible solutions to get any form of text to speech to work with word
2007?>>

I hope this helped you,
