"The Visual Basic for Applications project in this database is corrupt"

I recently converted a MS Access database from 2000 to 2002-2003. Then I made an .mde file from this so others could use it. Both work fine on my machine which is running Access 2003. However, when others who have Access 2002 try and use the .mde or the .mdb file, none of the controls to open forms work. Instead they get the message listed above about visual basic for applications in the database being corrupted, but if that was true, wouldn't it not work on my machine as well? I have checked the jet database files and we all have the same ones. I am not that experienced in code, I build the database without ever messing with code directly. Any help is appreciated.

I am running MS Access 2000 and applied the service patch last night. This morning I get the "The Visual Basic for Applications project in this database is corrupt" error message. What can I do to correct this problem? I am nearly finished with creating my project - HELP!!!
