Theme font, Outlook 2007, can't change for new messages received

In Outlook 2007 some, but not all, new incoming messages are presented in a
font that's called helvetica, but appears more like ALGERIAN. We have set the
font for; New mail messages, Replying or forwarding messages, and Composing
and reading plain text messages, to Arial 11, but it has no affect on the
messages that are displayed in (?) ALGERIAN or helvetica.
In 'Theme or Stationary', '(No Theme)' is selected, but in the pane to the
right the heading, bullet, text, etc. all look like ALGERIAN.
Some of the messages are to groups, but no other recipients see the text in
this funky font.
Since this affects is some, but not all incoming messages, I suspect it has
something to do with how our Outlook interprets the sender's Theme, but I
don't know how to attack the problem.
Please help.

What font did the sender use? If the message is HTML or RTF, you outlook
will use the fonts they used, not the one you have set in themes.

Thank you. I just realized that I could display the source html, I should
have looked, but this computer is in the office of the Principal of the
school where I work and it is difficult to get timely access to her computer.

I'll have to check it tomorrow and get back. (Not that it makes any
difference, but the font that is displayed for "(No theme)" is "Heavy heap"
not Algerian. I can't imagine how anyone would have chosen that
intentionally.)

I'm afraid the source html tells me nothing, though it might tell someone
else something. The only font called out is Calibri.
Other observations that may be clues:
1. Changing the fonts in all three that are configurable (New mail ...,
Replying or ..., and Composing ...) does not change or in any way affect the
(No Theme)-font; it remains Heavy Heap, so the No Theme font must be set
elsewhere.
2. While looking at the registry I copied some text from a data item and
pasted it into a new blank Word 2007 document. It pasted in Heavy Heap font,
even though the registry source showed Calibri.
3. All incoming messages from Outlook web Access users in our domain
displayed in Calibri.
4. Incoming messages from all Office 2007 Outlook users in our domain are
displayed in Heavy Heap.
I'm guessing that the No Theme font is being set in elsewhere in Office
2007, probably by Word 2007, but I don't know where to look -- perhaps
Word Options, Advanced?

Well we gave up on an elegant solution and got a bigger hammer.
We deleted the Heavy Heap font from Windows.
Problem solved!
