I can send a fax using [fax:nnn] in outlook 2002 on my XP
computer and just fine. However, I am trying to get it
to work on a Win 2000 pc and am having trouble. PROBLEM
1: I followed the instructions on installing a client app
(Microsoft Shared Fax) via the SBS Admin Console. I go
through the wizard, but when I log on to the client PC
the install wizard does not start. I THINK it is suppose
to. PROBLEM 2: On the Win 2000 pc, I can send a fax via
the Shared Fax (properties, test page) but when using
Outlook 2002 [fax:nnnn] I get the message: 'The Fax
transport service failed to deliver the message to this
recipient. There are not any fax printers available.'
Now, when I go to Outlook, tools, email accounts, change,
and Properties for the MAPI there is no fax listed in the
dropdown box; but I THINK there should be. I think if I
can get a fax listed there then all this should work.
