I get the above message window when i open an office app. (word, pp, or excel) I can ignore it but i want to get rid of this message everytime i open an app. The message does instruct me to check my database utility help...but that doesn't respond when i run it

Classic "Missing service pack" problem.

It means the software cannot find, or cannot open, the Entourage database.

Open Entourage and you may get a more descriptive error message. However:
Check the Application>About menu item (e.g. Excel>About Excel...)

Read the Version number. It should say Excel Version 12.2.0, Last applied
update 12.2.1.

If it doesn't, there's your problem: you have re-installed the software and
forgotten to apply the service packs. As a result, the Database Daemon
can't READ the Entourage database.

Run Microsoft Software Update as many times as required before it stops
offering you stuff. That should fix it.

If it DOES say Excel 12.2.0, then there really is a problem with your
database: do a rebuild and see if that fixes it.

Cheers
