There is a technique whereby I can hide type -- how

I am typing a test and I want to show the correct answer with an asterick but
I do not want it to print. How can I do it in the current version of Word?

Format the asterisk as Hidden (in Word '07, on the Home ribbon, click the
little arrow in the Font section).
Then click the Office button (circle at upper left), Word Option, Display,
and make sure that under Printing Options, "Print Hidden text" is NOT
checked.
