there is no "open containing folder" option when I Search Outlook

When I use the Windows Desktop Search in Outlook 2007, and then right-click
an item in the results, there is no "open containing folder" option on the
context menu.

Is there supposed to be? Is this functionality missing from Outlook 2007, or
is something broken on my system?

It’s a problem for me because I need to store many folders, and it’s
difficult to locate the folders. There does not appear to be any way to
identify the location of the containing folder for any item in the results of
the search.

I use the X1 desktop search www.x1.com

You can locate an email in a missing folder or the missing folder by using a keyword search. X1 indexes the contents of the emails and the containing folder names. There is an option on X1 to open the containg folder in Outlook.
I have not been able to find a missing folder within outlook directly (yet?).
Perhaps some of the other desktop search programs do the same thing.
X1 is the best desktop search program I have seen for Outlook. I have tried many. You have to pay for it but it is excellent if you are looking through your emails all the time. I just use it to index my emails.
