there's a grid background on some of my docs....

Not sure how this happened, and more importantly I can't figure out
how to get rid of it. All of a sudden I have a grid background on some
- but not all - of my doc files. It's not a table, and not affected by
turning on/off the gridlines function in Tables menu. It appears even
on some docs I haven't opened in months or years...but not on others.
Not sure what's changed, but I can't figure out how to get rid of it,
and it's rather annoying. Anyone got any ideas what this is...?

Thanks.

I suspect you have turned on the Drawing grid:

See the help topics "Align objects on a grid" and " View drawing gridlines'.
