thesaurus cannot connect to the internet.

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I have opened the internet. everything's fine. I'm online. The program connects. Even if I'm offline, and I hit spellcheck and dictionary, it opens a page that links to google. It links to Firefox. But the thesaurus leaves a message that says it cannot connect to the internet. Turn on the internet, then press return and see what happens. Nothing.
What can I do? Is there a preference that needs to be set somewhere? Help! I tried to find a category in Help, but nothing.Even on mactopia, when I searched, nothing came up. Thanks. Justice
