Thesaurus Magic Trick

Judy Chucker

Since adding Mac OS 10.5, the Thesaurus in Word 2004 doesn't perform
correctly. When the window opens that has both the dictionary and the
thesaurus, only the dictionary responds to my query. If I click on the
"carrot" or arrow next to Thesaurus, collapsing and then expanding it again,
the thesaurus suggestions appear. Otherwise, it's blank.

Any ideas? Thank you!

Hi Judy!

A couple of us have noticed this and we believe it is a bug. We've
reported this to Microsoft and I suggest you do the same. Please use the
Help menu in any Office application to send feedback to Microsoft.

I don't have a fix, but I have the same experience. As Judy states,
toggling the arrow temporarily repairs the issue.

Cheers,
