Thesaurus not displaying synonyms (word 97)

Hello,

I have an odd issued with Word 97. The Thesaurus utility
won't display synonyms for the selected item. The
Thesaurus interface comes up but contains no synonyms

I've confirmed that the proper .lex files are in the
c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\proof
folder. In fact, I re-copied the files from the
installation disk into this directory.

Thesaurus is still not working.

Any ideas?
