When copying a file to a new file i receive the following error, and i don't
understand what is the problem in the file that it indicates. i work with
MSproject 2000 connected to SQL server.
Can you please explain the cause of the error and how to fix it?
This is the error:
"A pasting error occurred on ID 1 in the column.
This is not a valid date, or is outside the range for dates, which is
January 1,1984 through December 31,2049.
Type a date in the correct format: for example, 6/15/00 or June 15,2000.
To continue pasting with additional error messages click yes.
To continue pasting with no error messages click no
To stop the paste operation click cancel."

Thanks

Hi Sigal,

The text says it all, I'm afraid.
What exactly is in the field that is supposed to be a date?
Sometimes there is a messup between European and American date nnotation.
For instance, for me today is 21/4/5 whereas in the US that is an invalid
date.
Hope this helps,

Hi
On my computer i don't see why i should receive this error,
could it be that if different people working on the same file in the DB and
one of us is in European date notation and the other is in American date
notation, can this cause this problem?
and why do i receive this error only when i try to copy the file to a new
file?

should all people + DB work on the same date notation?

thanks
sigal
