this file is in use by another

when i try to turn my pc off i got a mes. about the dwwin
that it have a problem , i searched for this file and
found it in the system and in the service pack file and
when i took a look at it's version i found it belong to
the office , can someone tell me what is this problem .
and when i open any file i was made before by excel or
word i give me a mes. that this file is in use by another
user while three is no another user i nthis computer but
me , i'm useing office 97

How are you opening the files? If you are opening the files outside
the application (other than using File/Open) then it sounds like the
file association needs to be recreated.

Go to Start/Run and run the following:

winword /r
excel /regserver
powerpnt /regserver
msaccess /regserver

Note that there is a space before the forward slash.

As for the first portion of your post, we would need to know the error
message and the name of the file, version, etc.

Also, it isn't a good idea to post your real email address these days.
You are only exposing yourself to the Swen virus and spam.
