"This identity cannot be opened with this version of entourage"

email

I've been getting this error message - and have been unable to open
Entourage at all - since doing a 2nd install of Office for Mac (Student
& Teacher Edition 2004) - my husband was unable to access Entourage
when he logged on so I assumed I had to install it again under his
profile. Now neither he nor I can access it.

I've downloaded Service Pack 2, and am currently installing update
11.2.5.

And that should do the job. As soon as Entourage has been updated, it should
once again be able to open the identity.

I have had the same problem compounded by the fact that I am on dial up and
haven't been able to stay online (via Safari) long enough to complete the
download. Can the download be done directly to the MacBook, or do I have to
download it to a thumb drive and then do the application? Specific
information on how to download at a different location would be helpful. I
don't know a thing about wireless.

Hi Carol:

If you have a MacBook you can take to a fast connection, then download
directly to the MacBook.

My advice about thumbdrives assumed your computer was too big to move.

Sorry: you didn't say what kind of computer you had :)

For most wireless connections, you need a Network Name and a Key or
Password. The person who gives them to you will be able to tell you the
rest of it: if they're a PC person, you need to tell them that the utility
you use on a Mac is named "Airport" and they will be fine from there.

Cheers
