Hi,
Until recently I was using Word 2000 to write specifications including many
"microsoft word picture" objects.
I've just switched to Word 2003. Since then I've been facing the following
problem:
Anytime I edit an object I had already created, the object eventually
becomes corrupted: the next times I try to open it, I get the following
message:
"this object is corrupt or is no longer available"
I've even add problems with new objects I created with word 2003, in
existing documents.
I went online: microsoft blames the Norton antivirus. I DO NOT have Norton
antivirus installed on my computer. I use InnoculateIT from Computer
Associates.
I even uninstalled my anti-virus, the problem did not disappear...
I've tried "open and repair": word finds "OLE fields" errors and "fixes"
them. If I then try to open the "fixed objects" I'm asked if I want to
ungroup them. If I select "no" the object does not open and if I select
"yes", the object is totally messed up by word...
Does anyone, or microsoft, have an ideal of what's going on?
Thank you.
