"This Program is not Responding"

"This Program is not Responding" I have the XP Pro OS and the XP MSOffice
and it's stopping about every third time when I open Word or Excel and it's
saying "This Program is not Responding" My system is clean with only a virus
checker, and my system is running fine except for the Word and Excel. Does
anyone know what I can do about this?
