those: ? in an email message...why?

Hi..
please help me out with this...

Im getting a "?' after each word I type while sending a message.
Using mac, system 9.04, outlook express 5 for mac.

It looks like this:

Look?how?she?is?selling?short?voice?recordings?online?
Is?this?something?you?can?do? Have?you?got?your?computer?fixed?yet?dear?


No problem receiving mail.
what is it?
