Those page layout icons at the bottom left

S

Stevet

You know those little icons that let you choose between page layout,
normal, outline and online views? Mine have disappeared and I can't
figure out how to get them back.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Steve,

If the icons have disappeared along with the horizontal scroll bar (they are
at the left end of the horizontal scroll bar), then go to Edit menu ->
Preferences -> "View" tab -> down the bottom right, click in the checkbox
that reads "Horizontal scroll bar".

If the icons have gone but the horizontal scroll bar is still present,
please post back so that someone else can suggest an answer. Please mention
the version of Word that you are using, including installed updates. (My
answer is based on Word 2001; your version may involve differences from my
version.)

(To reduce my use of the mouse, I use Command-Option-n to go to Normal view,
Command-Option-p for Page Layout view, Command-Option-i for Print Preview,
and Command-Option-o for Outline view.)
