thousands of projects

Has somebody experience with 3000 projects on a Project
Server 2003? My projects are relative small (< 30 tasks)
with max 3 assignments and max 10 resources in the res
Pool.
How is it running? Any views which are giving you hard
times?
What about the performance of the web views?
Any help is more than welcome.

Kurt:

Are you saying that 10 resources will be assigned to 3000 active projects,
as in 10 humans performing tasks on 3000 projects? If so, I think your
issues run deeper than performance, but I'd expect performance to take a hit
under this scenario depending on how you intend to use it.

Gary,
Yes, we have 3000 active projects, about 500 finished-
2000active- 500 upcoming, but please be aware that these
project are max 30 tasks, and take average 12hours in a
year. So we use it more as tracking of activities &
resources but being able to have reports on each
individual small project.
My concerns are more the web view since in our Proof-Of-
Concept we've seen big time increase (of 50%) on access
time compared between a database of 200 or 700 projects.
I'm holding my heart if we go towards 3000 projects.
What's your opinion on web views for such a large amount
of projects? Any hints on increasing the performance?

Kurt:

I think it can be done, but I'd have to know a lot more about your use case
before I'd offer any advice as to how best to do it. Yours is an unusual
configuration and deserves more thought than a quick casual answer can
contain.
