thread view confusion for newsgroups

Is there any rhyme or reason to the order of messages in threaded view? The
way it's displayed in Google Groups seems to make much more sense, and I
can't duplicate that format. If I sort by "sent" to get in chronological
order, I can't view it by thread. Am I missing something here? (I'm new to
Entourage)
