I searched the archives and did not see this question addressed.
As I recall, in E'rage X, when messages were viewed threaded and the
message list was collapsed that a click on a message would show the
text in the preview pane. A delete would bring up the next message in
the pane, etc. You could expand the "thread" to see a list of all of
the messages in that thread.
With E'rage 2004, and a CGA I can get a similar display of threaded
messages but the user interface is less efficient. A click on a
thread title does not display the first message - it just selects the
thread. I need to expand the thread and then the first message is
selected and previewed. That means I am having to make extra effort
to simply read and review the many messages in my folder. I know that
I can expand all of the message threads and simply us the up and down
arrows (the thread titles are skipped) - but the thread titles are
taking up valuable screen real estate - especially when the thread has
only one or two messages in it.
Is there a way to get back the X behavior?
Also - is there a way to cause all of my folders to default to my CGA
or do I have to set it up for every folder individually?
Thanks!
