Thumbnails of Larger Images

Looking for some help:

I have place images on various pages of my web and then used the Auto
Thumbnail button to creat the thumbnails. When I try to test the thumbnail
by holding the Ctrl button and left clicking, it gives me a message that the
image cannot be loaded. The hyperlink is pointing to the correct file in
the correct folder it just won't open. Does anyone have a suggestion?????
