Thumbnails

When I convert my pictures to a thumbnail, I only get one file to save and
not two, consequently the thumbnail does not open. its the same if I import
a picture all I get is a box and a red cross. This has only just occurred in
front page. Any idea's to what has gone wrong.

Have you imported the images to a location "inside" your web "before" you create the thumbnail??
