tiff or jpeg?

I'm using a lot of image files in a ppt, where I have images with titles
overlayed over them with graphic elements. I am just bringing those into
some of my slides. They're creating as png files, so they're huge.

I have heard that TIFF is a lossless way of saving image files for ppt. They
will be used in overhead projections.

Does this sound right?

Louise,

I'd hazard a guess that on average a PNG will take up less space than a TIFF
file.
PNG and TIFF are both lossless

JPG on the other hand is *NOT* lossless...and so will result in even smaller
files.

One of the biggest factors in filesize is "how many pixels are there in your
image"
See http://www.powerpointbackgrounds.com/powerpointgraphics.htm for an
understanding
