TIFFs not printing

(Tried to search the newsgroup but couldn't find anything)

Word v.X, OS X 10.3.4

I'm trying to print a document that contains some TIFF files but frustratingly
it doesn't seem to want to do it. It just leaves blank spaces instead of the
images.

Is there an easy reason why this would be happening? I can place the same
files in Indesign and they print fine, so the images themselves aren't
corrupt. They are scanned B&W or Grayscale images at 300dpi.

If I select Print and then choose Preview, it will give me the same problem in
the PDF file.

Look under Word | Preferences, Print tab, and make sure "drawing objects" is
checked under Include with Document.

Dayo is almost certainly correct on this one, but the other thing that can
do it is if those files have been saved at above 24-bit colour (even though
they are black and white).

My understanding is that the ability to handle 36-bit RGB did not arrive
until Office 2004, and 42-bit CMYK still has not arrived in Office.

Hope this helps
