I upgraded my Panther operating system on a G5 to Tiger and now Word,
Excel and PowerPoint and giving me font conflict messages for all my
fonts. What do I do?

That's the notorious font corruption error that some Tiger users are seeing,
and unfortunately, there's no real solution to this. However, there are a
couple of suggestions on this page
<http://word.mvps.org/Mac/CorruptFontErrors.html>. Post back if you manage
to get it to work; the more information we can get on this topic, the
better.

Hang on, looks like my earlier post was too rash. What exactly does the
error warning say? The font corruption error I mentioned earlier on affects
Word 2004 only, as far as I know. If you see a font conflict error warning,
maybe that's all there is to it: a font conflict. Use Font Book to resolve
duplicate fonts (in the list, select those fonts that have a black dot next
to them, then go to Edit>Resolve Duplicates).

Micheal,

I printed off the page you suggested and I will try to get it to work.
It is not your second response...actual conflict, because it happens
with the default fonts as well. I will pass along what I find out.
