Tile Vertically?

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel

One of my favorite features of Win Word was the ability to tile word docs vertically, allowing me to compare and move text back and forth between 2 (or more documents. (Actually I think this was more of a windows feature, although I had a macro in Word that did it.)

Is there a similar feature in 2008, or a workaround?
