time difference on appointments

Nathan

I am on central standard time, and when I receive a meeting appointment from
my supervisor, the scheduled block in my calendar is an hour ahead of
schedule. So, if I my boss sends me an appointment set for 9:00 central
standard time, it will show up in my calendar for 8:00 CST. And the time on
my computer is correct for my time zone.

How can I set it up so the appointments correspond with my time zone
correctly? Any help would be much appreciated!

I am running into the same issues(Eastern time) on my Windows XP
machines....

I've noticed that on the XP machines, the checkbox for daylight savings time
is unchecked. This creates the 1 hour difference. What I haven't figured
out yet is why the XP machines are not getting the setting from the Windows
2000 domain controller.

You may need to set the DST settings manually. The Outlook MVPs had a
recent discussion on this and for some the DST settings were set correctly
and for others is was not. It may be a setting in the BIOS but we were
unable to come to consensus.
