Time Machine Your Entourage Data

It did work to save the MUD folder to a partition of my HD. It went through
the motions, but the folder I create in the partition for MUD never did have
anything in it.

So then I tried changing the destination to a random folder on the main
partition that I use all the time since I knew the process wouldn¹t work on
an external drive. Now it does seem to be saving my identity folder (which
is all I set it up for) every day. However, it has certain anomalies that
don¹t match the process that it went through on my previous setup.
First, I am constantly getting a ³copying finder items² message in the top
menu bar along with TM activity. Seems like every few minutes. Is that what
it is supposed to do? Yet I only have one saved identity folder per day.
Second, because it doesn¹t stick to the one time I set it up for, Entourage
is always open when it is copying. Isn¹t that a no-no? In my previous setup,
starting the copying process triggered Entourage to close. Since it comes on
so often, there really is nothing I can do about this; I have to have me
email program on constantly to communicate with work.
Third, the iCal alarm is fouled up. I get it 15 minutes earlier than I set
it for. Date & Time preferences are correct, however. Is there any necessary
relationship between the alarm and the actual copying? I mean would the
alarm go off whether or not the copying was done? If not, I cannot see any
point to the alarm.

I hope someone can illuminate some of these issues. Thanks.
