Time Periods in PWA

In Project Server 2003, i have managed periods set up.
What are the best practices for when to remove/delete these time periods
from the 'Managed Timesheet Periods' grid in PWA - Admin - Customize Project
Web Access?

For example, i have time periods back to 2004 and would like to remove these
from the grid to lessen the amount of items to scroll thru/down

I believe the Manage Time Periods drives the time periods built in the
Portfolio Analyzer cube based on the settings selected? Please confirm this.

Therefore, if I'm building a cube to show 12 months back and 12 months
forward, then I do NOT want to delete Managed TimePeriods in 2005 so that my
cube will build from Jan '05 thru Dec '06. Please verify.

thanks.

Hi TroyS,

Our experience has shown that if you can avoid deleting the managed time
periods you should. I understand that it is annouing to scroll down to the
last entry to enter a new one, but this should not be a reason for deleting
the managed time period.

The time dimension within the Portfolio Analyser is not driven by the
managed time period. You as the administrator can controll how much time
should be build under "manage enterprise features" within the Administration
Tab.

I hope this helps
