Time sheets export

The information that is exported to an excel sheet from the time sheet is not
detailed. Can this export be adjusted to show all fields that are shown on
the "My Time sheet" page?

Such as Project Name, Task name / Description, billing category, approval
status, and the time for each day Monday - Friday.

I cannot reproduce your problem. I am using Project Server 2007, and just
exported the My Timesheet page to Excel. Unlike you, I see every column
listed, along with its correspondent data, including the Monday through
Sunday actual Hours I entered. Maybe you should tell us what is your
current level of applied Service Packs and Cumulative Updates. Let us know
and we will try to help.

I am in the Timesheet approvals section and have "Approved By Me" button
selected. I then selected several timesheets of different resources and go to
actions tab and export to excel. During the process of opening excel I get
the below message:

The file you are trying to open, 'reviewts.aspx', is in a different format
than specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted
and is from a trusted source before opening the file.

then I can select Yes, No, or Help

I select Yes and get the following rows and columns:

Resource name, Timesheet Name, Period, Status, Total Hr, Actual Total,
Overtime Total, Non-billable Total, Non-billable Overtime Total

What I am missing that I want is the Task name / Description, Billing
Category, and the Monday - Friday time for each of the Tasks.

Selecting the checkboxes to the left of each Timesheet is only used for
approving or rejecting Timesheets. It is not used for exporting to Excel.
Beyond this, the Export to Excel function only exports the data grid shown
on the page from which you export. So, in your case, it is correctly
exporting what you see in the data grid on the Timesheet Approvals page. If
you want the system to export any of the Timesheets for users on the
Timesheet Approvals page, you must click the name of the Timesheet to open
it for viewing, and then you can export it to Excel. Hope this helps.

Thanks Dale that does help.

Last question, do you know if the approvals page can be modified to add the
desired info?

No, it cannot be modified. It is one of the default pages that the Project
Serve administrator cannot change. Sorry.

And you are more than welcome for the help, my friend! :)
