Time stamp on incoming emails is not correct, pls help!

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop When my incoming emails used to get downloaded they would have the time that the email was sent to me. Now for some reason they are showing the time that they are being downloaded by my machine, meaning that when i download them they all have the same time on them. However when i delete them and they show up in the 'deleted items' they then have the correct time that they were sent to me.

My question is, what do i need to do to have them show up in the inbox with the correct time that they were sent to me?

This has been driving me crazy for months, pls help!
