Time Stamp

Can someone tell me how (if I can) put a time stamp on my web page. Not an
updating date that is on the file menu. I want to put a time stamp on the
page to show when it was last updated. I could just put it in myself but that
could be time consuming if I have a lot of pages. Is there an easyer way?

Pete,

I would rethink this idea. I do several web pages (okay - hundreds), and
most of them I try to update as needed, many of them weekly. But think
about this - does a visitor really care when you site was updated, as
long as the information is up-to-date? What if you get busy and don't
have time (or the need) to update a page for three-six months. A
first-time visitor will see you haven't updated the page since October
3, 2007.

In reality, there is absolutely nothing to be gained but a whole lot to
be lost by using: Last updated on ....

Once again - don't add things to a web site to show off what you know.
Add things that will increase the knowledge of people who visit it.

Good point Mike, I never looked at it like that before. Thanks!
Updating would be a pain. Just after I ask the question I found the answer
on publisher itself under help. You just uncheck the update box. But seeing
where you have alot of experence in this I must give some more thought.I
think in certain applications it may be nessary, but not mine. Thanks again!!
