Time Zone Change

I am moving across the country, and I wish to set the time zone on my
computer correctly. However, when I set the time zone, all of my outlook
calendar entries change time. Time appointments change by several hours.
The all-day entries switch to partial days spanning over two days, but it is
not easy to tell which the original day is. All future appointments are
messed up.

How do I change time zones without effecting all of the appointments?

Use the Time Zone Update Tool from Microsoft;

I have this issue too. I downloaded the update and siwtched the time zone
back, but all my appointments are still 2 days. How do I get them back to
normal. Is there a quick fix. Hopefully I do not have to go through and
adjust 365 days worth of mutliple appointments

It's not an update as such. It is a tool you'll have to run manually to
update your appointments to reflect the new time zone your in.

I used the tool .. they are still multiday events - but from 12-12 now. They
need to be all day events

It could be hard to recover them at this point. Instead, you could recover
them from backup or try running the tool against a restored backup copy and
see if works correctly now.

I have tried to install the tool mentioned in the thread, however it keeps
exiting with the message that a previous version is installed. I have
searched, but can not fint any evidence of a previous version. Is there a
list of files or registry entries to look for?

Ok- I just took another trip. This time I did everything properly. I
adjusted the time. Changed it back. Ran the tool. The appointments are
still showing up as 24 hour appointments not All Day Events. Why does
outlook force my All Day events to become 24 hour appointments. It is wrong
for Ourlook to assume it knows how I want the events handled. If I wanted 24
hour events I would have created 24 hour events. From everything I have read
it sounds like the Outlook team is just too proud to admit the functionality
is not ideal and then fix it or change it.
