I use my calendar as I imagine most people do, to write down events and plan
events. I keep the calendar so I can go back and see when something
happened. I also add notes as I go along so I can keep track of events and
changes, so it is important that not only are the dates and times correct,
but that I also do not loose the notes section.
I recently changed time zones, and would like to change the time zone in my
computer. After trying this using various methods, and searching these
forums, it becomes obvious that this is not an easy task.
I tried to use the time zone adjustment tool from Microsoft, but for some
reason, it only seems to update active appointments (those with reminders).
The remaining appointments, past and future, simply do not get updated. It
baffles me why Microsoft would provide a tool that only works partially...
Now my appointments are in a combined mess, I can not go back or forward in
time zones to fix them.
I also tried to export the data to a Excel file, change the time zone, and
re-import the data. While this does fix the times, the notes sections
becomes corrupted. Apparently there is some type of limitation on the field
length for the character field.
Are there any ideas? Or even a third party program available that will fix
this issue? A program that basically performs the task the Microsoft program
claims to (but doesn’t ) would be great.
