Time Zone issue with events

Hi.

I'm currently testing Entourage 2008 on Leopard. Normally I'm using Outlook 2007.

When I create an event in Entourage it appears correctly in outlook.

When I create an event in outlook it appears correctly in entourage.

Both events have the same time set.

But the outlook event in entourage has a strange message in it: It says Event Time zone GMT.
Your computers time zone Europe/Berlin.

When I plan a all-day event I have a problem. If I create it in outlook it appears a day earlier in entourage.

If I create it in entourage it's fine in outlook.

My Windows System is set to: GMT+1 Amsterdam, Berlin...

My Mac is set to: CET / Berlin Germany.

In my outlook calendar configuration I have GMT +1 Amsterdam, Berlin. And "Adjust for daylight saving time" activated.

In Entourage I have: Amsterdam, Berlin, Bern
as the Default time zone for new events.

Any idea how to fix that?

Latest product versions, latest patches, lates Leopard fixes.

Thanks
Alex

Hi Alex!

You didn't mention if you were using an Exchange Server. Are you?

If so, the problem you're reporting has been reported by dozens of folks
with no resolution. From what I can see in my own testing (yes, I've
seen this problem too) the problem is not with Entourage nor Outlook but
Exchange.

The fix is very elusive.
