Timecard Input by Resource / Project Manager?

Hello All,

My apologies is this is a common question, but I could not find any previous
postings related to my issue. We are using Project Server 2002 (on Win2k3
server, if it matters) to keep track of work being done by several
subcontractors. Each of our subcontractors has asked if it is possible to
one person at each company (likely a project manager) to enter in timecard
information for their respective employees, rather than having each engineer
go in to do their own timecard.

Is this possible? We have correctly setup RBS to reflect the real world
hierarchy, but I cannot find any functions that would allow a resource /
project manager to submit timecards on behalf of their subordinates.

Thanks!

To do this, you will need to set the method of authentication for each of
the subcontractor resource user accounts to Project Server Authentication.
The password for each Project Server account is blank by default. The
project manager could then log into Project Server using each of these
subcontractor resource accounts and enter actuals in their timesheet. I
realize that this probably defeats your company's IT security policies, but
it is an imperfect world in which we live. Hope this helps.
