Timed automatic update of chart

Hi,

I am having great difficulty in doing the following and would be
grateful for any assistance.

Cell A1 is updated every few seconds using a DDE link.

I would like to create a chart within the same workbook that plots
whatever is in A1 Sheet 1 every 5 or ten minutes throughout the day.

Any advice?
