timeout when publishing

Forgive me if this has been asked before but I couldn't find the
question/answer anywhere.

I am using FP2003 and manage several websites all hosted on the same server.
I can have almost 2 identical websites (size, number of images, folders
etc) and one will always time-out and one won't. I have to manually publish
a few pages and images at a time to finally get the first one all published.
I have looked for any parameters to increase the timeout time but can't find
one.

Is there any known anomally that would cause this.

Here are 2 sites (the first always times out) :

www.bcflyfish.com and www.melaniedekker.com

Thanks in advance. RobC

Does the one that times out either have files in it over 1 MB or any thumbs.db files (delete them) in it
- what specific file does it time out on

Stefan -- What ARE those "thumbs.db" files? I seem to have lots of them,
which I see when I'm transferring picture files to CDs, when the progress
meter lists the files that are being transferred. Among all the other names
flying by, I see thumbs.db

I don't know how they got there. It appears there's one each folder &
subfolder in my picture files.

I don't see them when I look at/sort folder contents, so I assume they're
hidden files, but who the heck invited them? Are they any problem? Are
they important? Do I continue to ignore them?

Thanks!

Annette :)

That had it. Seems every time I open a folder in thumbnail view, Windows
creates one of those files.

Thanks, Tom.
