Timeout when sending mail (POP)

Ok, curly question. We have a number of computers that this happens on, and
not consistantly; just every now and then.

A user replies to an email, and the reply just sits in the outbox.
Eventually you get an error message saying that the operation timed out blah
blah blah. It will continue to timeout unless you delete the message.

However, if you just exit outlook, and open it again. Tada! the message
sends as normal.

Has anybody else had this problem? Is there a solution?

Cheers,

Nathan
