If you are using Project Server, PJSVRDB.HTM, found in the help directory of
the server installation contains sample queries.

If you are not using Server or you want to export one project at a time, you
can use the Analyze Timescaled Data in Excel wizard. You can find this
wizard on the Analyze toolbar.

Pooja,
For reference, there are two Usage views - one gives a Task cut and one
gives a Resource cut of the data. You will find that the utility
mentioned by Ed will export the data a little differently depending on
which view (Gantt Chart, Task Usage, or Resource Usage) is active when
the utility is run.

One more point. The Analyze timescaled data in Excel utility is a great
tool but sometimes it just doesn't export the data the way you want it.
In that case you (or someone else) can develop a custom VBA macro to
export the data exactly as you need.

Hope this helps.

You can find it in the resource usage view as well.
You can export to excel by copy paste but you have to add the correct column
headers.
You can export to excel by writing a visual basic macro.
Look at the project VBA help for using the timescaledata collection.
