Hi, there!
I want to put a timer in my presentation so that when a certain time
elapses (say, 10 minutes for instance), the clock stops and some sign
is triggered ( a sound plays, the background of a text box changes,
the presenter falls in a black hole, the world ends or whatever).
I have visited the link:
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00081.htm
but did not find a solution, since I think I should put the timer in
the master slide if feasible for simplicity's sake (and since I want
the count down displayed through all slides of the presentation). This
would be very handy for a meeting organization when there is the need
to stick to schedules.
I welcome any help.
Thanks in advance

One way is to make or have made a custom animated gif that counts down and
then flashes. We've made several of these for folk.

Thanks for your post John Wilson.
I went to one of the sites you sent (http://www.PPTAlchemy.co.uk) and
found the animated timer. However, if I rightly undertood, you said
there that the timer is reset whenerver I change the slide. My
intention is to keep track of the whole time the presentation is
lasting, not only the time spent in each slide. This way I can speed
up the presenter in the case he/she is about to extrapolate the time
he was given to finish.
I would appreciate any ideas. Thanks

Did you check out Tushar's add in on the pptfaq link?

If you don't want to use vba / add ins the only way I can think of would be
to have a small video of a countdown clock running. This can run across slides

Thanks for your reply, John Wilson.
I think Tushar's add-in may solve the problem. I'll try it and will
post if it worked for my purpose.
Thanks again and best regards.
