Timescale - How can I display todays date?

I have a master project plan that I use to manage multiple project plans in
one resource (I bring the plans in using Insert > Project).

My problem is that when I go the resource usage view, and it displays the
timescale (Tier 2), the timescale starts on the week of August 17 and I need
to progressively scroll further and further over each week to view
information for the current date. I have tried "Ctrl + Alt + Home" but this
moves the date back to far.

How can I set it so that my timescale in the resource usage view starts on
the current date? Please help!

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello, and welcome to this Microsoft Project General Questions Discussion
Group.

If you use the Resource Ussage view, then you are analyzing information per
Resource and assignments. You can set the timescale to whatever time unit and
interval suits you best.

Now the fastest way to move back and forth in the time-phased part of the
view, is by clicking on the "scroll to task" icon on the "standard tool bar",
or use key combination Ctrl+Shft+F5, once you have selected the task or
assignment you want to view.

I hope this helps. Please, let us know how you get along with it.

Best Regards,

Thank you for this information, it is indeed helpful ... although in the end
it does not solve my problem. I am essentially looking for a way to have the
timescale begin at the current week/date each time I open the project plan.

Is there any way for this to happen?

Thank you again for your response.
