Timesheet creation failed

PWA 2007, SP1, December CU:

One user is getting this error message when they try to create a timesheet:

The timesheet creation failed, because of problems with the project server
or with
data validations, such as resources not being valid work resources or
users. Check your environment, and then try again."

No completed tasks have a future finish date.

Any other troubleshooting suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We raised this with MSFT and they said it was due to custom fields assigned
at the resource level are "rolling" down to the assignment level with more
than one value. This causes the error. After checking, none of the resource
custom fields had the roll down attribute checked so its back to MSFT we
go....
