Our system is Project Server 2003 SP1 on two systems - one server for Project
and WSS, the other the database backend.
I have two users that recently had new installs of Windows XP SP2 put on
their systems. These two users (out of 400+) cannot see any of their
previous timesheet entries through PWA Tasks view. In addition, any new
entries they try to add disappear instantly after selecting the 'Save
Changes' or 'Update' boutton, although the impact on the task remains (the
effect on % Work Completed, remaining hours, etc. is not lost). Internet
Explorer is not returning an script errors.
Even stranger, though, is that one of the users is also a Project Manager,
and time entries from other users appear just fine in his Updates view.
I have checked the ActiveX controls (818046) and the configuration of the
MSADC properties (321357). Normally behavior like this would be resolved
with an MDAC update, but Windows XP will not allow me to install MDAC 2.81.
Any ideas on what else might be causing this?
